Fundamentals of Natural Dyeing // 100€

This workshop is all about learning the fundamentals of natural dyeing for those who want an in-depth introduction to natural dyes. On the first day, we will mordant the fabrics, process organic material, and begin the dye baths. In the second day, we'll use different pH modifiers to manipulate the colors and play with shibori folds to make patterns. Students will then dye their final project, a t-shirt, based on what they've learned.

Each student will leave with a thorough understanding of natural dyes so they can continue their own natural dyeing adventures. You'll also take home all of the samples, your naturally dyed t-shirt, and a booklet filled with information you should need to reference it.

The workshop will be taught in English but any questions can be clarified in Portuguese.
