In this immersion, Soraya proposes, through collective activities and dynamics, to create a comfortable space for this rite of passage, a manifestation of pause, where she invites you to observe who you really are.
Sitting in a circle of women and feeling permeated with affection and listening will remind you that you are not alone in this very important step of becoming vulnerable. Listening to others and feeling their stories resonate makes us feel like we belong. You are not alone. Courage is a feminine adjective. Verbalizing is healing. Planning is accomplishment.

Here, Soraya proposes ANSWERING that question through pausing and sharing: a foolproof duo to open new enlightening paths.

Mentor: Soraya Albuquerque
Soraya lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. She has a degree in visual arts and photography from Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage. She has in her process, photography, as a support for several experiments. The images related to the female figure and the connection of the body with space are the focus of her authorial works and the basis for the development of her language.
She was resident artist at the former Bhering factory from 2012 to 2017, where she directed, in partnership with photographer Patricia Stagi, Atelier Branco, a space dedicated to art and photography from 2014 to 2016, acting as curator and pickup of independent artists. She was represented by the gallery Tramas de Arte Contemporânea from 2013 to 2016. Specialized in expanded photography and portraits, today conducts the [look at you], an itinerant project that assists in the recovery of self-esteem of women through photography with more than 300 essays in their passages through different states of brazil.
In a complementary way, she conducts the immersion [muda], a manifest of the pause for women to find their north through sharing with other women. Besides directing the project VISAR - a sensory photography course, together with three other photographers, commercially she does editorial essays, portraits and codirects ode, a communication agency focused on brand positioning and content creation.
