Objectives:
The Marbled Paper technique, most recognized for the decorative coatings on the inside and outside of books, was also applied to furniture, suitcases, music sheets, fabrics and playing cards. This workshop, led by artist Maria Sassetti, will introduce the history of marbled paper, from suminagashi in Japan to Ebru in Turkey, followed by the preparation of baths, inks and supports and prints on paper and fabric.
