100% Natural Beeswax Candle Workshop // 40€

Description:

In this workshop you will learn from a local beekeeper where beeswax comes from and what other uses it has besides the candles you will learn how to make!

You will also learn the extraction and filtering processes and the main benefits of beeswax candles.

For the practical part, let's get to work, because you are going to make three types of candles:

- Wax sheet

- With a silicone mold (several shapes available)

- In containers

At the end we will decorate the candles with dried flowers and herbs.

Each participant will take home at least three amazing candles!

No previous knowledge is required.

All materials are included.

Mentor: Catarina Telles

Catarina has been an organic beekeeper for 3 years. She has beehives in Serra da Arrábida and in Grândola. She is also a product designer and resident at Fábrica Moderna. She decided to reuse the wax that was annually left over from the apiaries and make candles for her own consumption. She found out that few people know about the benefits of beeswax and how good it is to have these candles at home.
