Introduction to Natural Dyeing // 40€

The Introduction to Natural Dyeing workshop is a personalised class where you will learn how to use locally available plants to dye. For each workshop the students can choose between three natural dye techniques: Dye baths, bundle dyeing, and eco printing. Only one technique will be covered in each class, to learn all three you will need to book three sessions.

Dye baths - Dye baths are the foundation of natural dyeing, used to achieve solid colours on fabric. In this introduction you will learn how to pre-treat fabrics, how to extract colours from plant matter and how to apply them to fabric. We will also cover some techniques on how to modify colours and how to create dynamic patterns using shibori folds.
